Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　故事开始于明朝，凤三（元华 饰）心肠歹毒，无恶不作，身为锦衣卫，同时又是凤三的师弟，方守正（元彪 饰）发誓要将凤三绳之于法。然而，凤三此人诡计多端，甚至想要偷取能够扭转时空的黑玉佛，借此逃脱法网，几番争斗之后，两人双双跌落山崖。　　时光荏苒，转眼已是现代，考古队在雪地中挖掘出了凤三和方守正被冰封住的尸体，将两人运往美国研究，然而，途中一场意外却令两人死而复生。方守正于机缘巧合之下遇见了名为阿玉（张曼玉 饰）的不良少女，阴差阳错的成为了她的保镖，而凤三不改奸邪本性，加入了黑社会，继续为非作歹。当方守正得知凤三依旧作恶多端后，他决定继续自己未完成的使命。

　　校园里的一场大冒险演变成了都市传说。当青少年们召唤“蓝宝宝”时，某种东西回应了他们。这场游戏蔓延开来，留下的是悲伤和私语。阻止它意味着要面对第一次召唤，以及被召唤的代价。
