格拉迪丝是一位五十多岁的女性，生活在社会的边缘，没有住所、没有医保卡、没有银行账户。对她来说，一切都无关紧要，甚至对于性、酒精或跳舞的享受也都不重要。一天早上，她偶然遇到了尤金妮，一位高中时的朋友。尤金妮试图违背她的意愿去帮助她。
