阿部宽影片改编自浅仓秋成创作的同名小说，讲述了一个在社交媒体上，毫无根据的信息被视为“真相”，并逐渐演变成重大事件的现代冤案恐怖故事。阿部宽饰演的主角是大型住宅建材公司的营业部长山县泰介，有一天突然在社交媒体上被指认为“杀人事件的凶手”，个人信息被曝光。虽然完全无辜，却被社会追捕、陷入“网络风暴”之中，不得不逃亡。
