前世将军养女与兄长因禁忌之恋生死相离，今生化身白蛇与姐妹游戏人间，却爱上旧人之子，在宿命纠葛下开启极致人妖虐恋。

　　一名男子因猎枪走火而身亡，几乎所有的人都认为这是一起意外，只有一向风格强硬的检事霞夕子（泽口靖子 饰）倍感蹊跷。她执意深入调查，但是最终一无所获。与此同时，名叫安川初音（石野洋子 饰）的女子来到夕子老家的寺院上香，她此行的目的是悼念一个因被误解而意外死亡的男子。安川种种反常举动引起了夕子的注意，她旋即又对安川展开调查，却无意间发现这两起意外事件的关联。层层迷雾渐渐散尽，真相逐渐浮出水面……　　本片根据夏树静子的原著小说《路上の奇禍》改编，是3週連続　罪と女系列的第2部，另外两部分别为《破婚的条件》和《魔术的耳语》。

All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
